THE GROVE
We visited The Grove for the first time on Monday night. Since the same builders are also constructing The Americana, a Grove-like outdoor mall across from the Glendale Galleria, we took a great interest in the layout.
Karena was really impressed, but I thought it was just so-so. It does seem to be the new Universal CityWalk, since that place seems to be on its way down.
We ended up eating BBQ at Woodranch BBQ and Grill. They don't smoke their ribs like Lucille's, but the food was still good.
While we were there, we ended up seeing last year's winner and runner-up of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance". I think their names are Nick and Melody. We also saw the guy who plays Monica's restaurant coworker in "Friends."
The evening was enjoyable . . . until we got to the parking lot. It took us 23 minutes just to get out of there!!! That, of course, boosted our time there so we ended up having to pay another dollar there.
I still like Paseo Colorado better.
