GRANDFATHER UPDATE
He is going to have hernia surgery this afternoon, Thursday, at 2pm. The surgeon may remove a portion of his colon if he can reach it and/or if it's necessary.
After that, the doctors think he'll need to stay another week in the hospital before being transferred skilled nursing facility for physical therapy. That stay will probably lasta couple of weeks. The duration depends on what is removed during today's surgery and also how quickly he recuperates.
As in any surgery, there is a risk and a potential for complications. His risk is higher than most because of his heart condition and age.
Please continue to pray for him and my family, if you get a chance.
