WRONG SAYING
Apparently, all my life, I've been saying the wrong phrase. Instead of saying, "I couldn't care less," I've been saying "I could care less" to imply that I didn't care about something somebody said.
After Karena began correcting me, I've started to notice that many people say it incorrectly.
Do you?
Comments:
That's a good point because grammatically, she is right, except that either one could be correct if you look at the manner in which it is said. For instance, if I say "I could care less" in a very sarcastic way, I really do mean that I couldn't care less. Another example would be if I sarcastically said, "Oh, that's wonderful" when I really meant "That sucks."
