A FRIEND IN THE MOVIES
One of the additional perks of attending the married couples Sunday School is getting a chance to get to know George Cheung. Up until recently, we only know him as Danette's "Uncle George," but after spending two quarters of Sunday school with him, I can honestly say that I very much appreciate his faith and recognize the struggles he deals with in life with his family, friends, and work. He may not be perfect, but it's evident he is truly growing as a man of God. And for that, I couldn't be happier for him. Plus, he is able to be brutally honest, extremely down to earth, and say a humerous comment without breaking a sweat or seemingly insincere in the least.
Last night, we watched "Starsky and Hutch" and saw him at work. It's always fun to see somebody you know on TV or in the movies (even if it's just the back of their heads like Jason and Nathan S. in Spider-Man). But it's even better to see them act and have lines and everything. Besides, Uncle George has quite a filmography. Any guy who can say he's been in everything from Rush Hour to Austin Powers to Rambo II to Alias to Cowboy Bebop to ER to NYPD Blue has to be cool!
